THE BOSTON LOUIE MEMORIAL CLASSIC

SEEKONK, MA. -  Kraze Korlacki Speed Equipment, Inc announces an exciting race event on Sunday, June 2, 2013, at the historic “Cement Palace” Seekonk Speedway. Mods, Midgets, & Ministocks take the Green Flag as part of THE BOSTON LOUIE MEMORIAL CLASSIC in honor of this local racing great. “My dad would be honored by the cars & stars assembled to race in this prestigious event” said Boston Louie’s son Bobby from his Race Shop in Marlboro, MA.  

The Northeast Midget Association will be well represented by the NEMA regulars and NEMA Lites competing for 29 Laps each; this is the biggest NEMA event of the season honoring “Boston” Louie Seymour. Open Wheel racing legend Bentley Warren will serve as Grand Marshall.

Joining NEMA is a 25 Lap Race by the Pro4 Modifieds of New England and the ever growing Texas Roadhouse Northeast Mini Stock Tour will campaign for 50 Laps.

Last but certainly not least is a 75 Lap SK & SK Light Type Modified Race where the winner will take home a $5,000 pay day. SK Type Mods have not raced at the Cement Palace since 1983 when Ed St. Angelo was Track Champion. Ed will join us, dropping the Green Flag in celebration of this 30 year anniversary. Expected competitors include the 2012 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Champion Doug Coby, the 2012 Race of Champions Asphalt Modified Tour Champion & 2012 Seekonk Speedway Open Wheel Wednesday Race Winner Matt Hirschman, 2012 Stafford Track Champion Ted Christopher, 2012 Thompson Track Champion Ryan Preece & 2012 Waterford Track Champion Tyler Chadwick, to name a few. MODIFIED TYPE RULES & PURSE (draft)

1. SK Type Modified, SK Light Type Modified, Sunoco Type Modified, Thompson Lite Type Modified or Sportsman Modified Type Race Cars only may compete. Each competitor must identify which race track rules their cars comply with- Monadnock, Stafford, Thompson or Waterford. Complying with the track rules shall include all safety, chassis, and performance equipment, except there is no
Gear Rule. For total weight see rule #2. No mixing or substituting of track rules.
2. *SK Type Modified, *Sunoco Type Modified, 2600 LBS before race with driver *Sportsman Type Modified (non crate) 2575 LBS, before race with driver
*SK Light Type Modified,*Thompson Lite Type Modified, *Sportsman Modified
Type Modified with GM Crate Motor P/N 88958602*-2550 LBS before race with
driver. *Two (2) barrel carburetors only
3. All competitors must qualify & race on the event legal tire which will only be available on race day; the Hoosier 1320 LS & 1330 RS. Competitors must qualify on the same event marked legal tires they use for the feature. All qualified cars upon exiting the track after their heat shall report directly to the scales for inspection and to re- mark their tires. One (1) tire may be changed after start of feature without reason; any other tires must be for a flat or damaged tire or rim only! Race officials must inspect damaged tire or rim if replaced. Additional tire information/rules will be supplied under “Race Day Procedures”.
4. Promoter reserves the right to make amendments/adjustments to the rules prior to or on race day, and too any competitor’s race car as it deems appropriate to promote a fair & competitive race event.
5. All decisions of the race promoter or his designee are final.

The race event is scheduled for 75 Green Flag Laps. Promoter reserves the right to reduce the total number of Laps if weather or other conditions dictate.
